Welcome to The Don Lake at Forest Lane Fisheries, the oldest and most prestigious lake on our complex, it boasts a rich history and is home to some of the largest, most sought-after fish in the area. Known for its peaceful surroundings and rewarding catches, The Don is a favourite for seasoned anglers looking for a challenge and a memorable fishing experience. Given the design of our pegs and platforms, we uphold a strict policy allowing only guests aged 14 and over to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.

The lake itself offers an ideal depth of around 4-5 feet, making it particularly suited to open-water fishing. Anglers will also find select pegs with access to an island within pole range, providing a unique opportunity for those willing to explore. The margins typically range between 2-3 feet in depth, though some pegs may reach as shallow as 18 inches, adding a touch of variety for those looking to mix up their approach.

Fishing techniques on The Don are diverse, with the feeder, bomb, and waggler proving especially effective. The pole, whether used short, long, or close to the edges, often results in impressive catches, rewarding both skill and patience.
